Open Access and Copyright Policy
Journal of Engineering Research and Applied Sciences (JERAS) — Promoting Open Knowledge & Protecting Author Rights
1. Open Access Policy
JERAS operates under a Diamond Open Access model. All research papers are available immediately and free of charge to all readers and institutions upon publication:
- Free Access: Readers are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles without financial or subscription barriers.
- Global Reach: This model supports the global exchange of knowledge, enabling engineers and researchers to share their findings widely.
2. Copyright Ownership
The journal fully supports author rights and intellectual property retention:
- Author Retention: Authors retain 100% of the copyright for their work without any restrictions.
- License of First Publication: Authors grant the journal a non-exclusive license to publish and distribute the research paper, citing the journal as the original place of publication.
3. Creative Commons License Terms (CC BY 4.0)
All research papers are distributed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license, allowing users to:
- Share: Copy, distribute, and transmit the work in any medium or format.
- Adapt: Remix, transform, and build upon the work for any purpose, including commercial.
- Attribution: Proper credit must be given to the authors and the journal as the original publisher, with a link to the license and indications of any changes made.
4. Self-Archiving Policy
Authors are encouraged to deposit versions of their work in institutional repositories or academic platforms:
- Pre-print: Authors can self-archive the preprint (submitted draft) at any time.
- Post-print: Authors can self-archive the post-print (accepted peer-reviewed draft).
- Publisher's Version: Authors are encouraged to distribute the final publisher's PDF version, citing the original publication and linking to the journal's URL.
