Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

The Journal of Engineering Research and Applied Sciences (JERAS) welcomes contributions from researchers. Please read the following guidelines carefully before submitting your manuscript:

1. Formatting & Manuscript Requirements:

  • Font Size & Type: Use Times New Roman, size 11 for English manuscripts, and Simplified Arabic, size 12 for Arabic manuscripts.
  • Line Spacing & Margins: Spacing must be 1.15, with 2.5 cm margins on all sides.
  • Structure: The manuscript should contain: Title, Author names and affiliations, Abstracts (both in Arabic and English), Keywords, Introduction, Methodology, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, and References.

2. Conflict of Interest and Ethical Approvals:

  • Conflict of Interest: All authors must disclose any financial or professional conflicts of interest that could influence the research findings and include a statement to this effect.
  • Ethical Approvals: If the study involves human or animal subjects, formal ethical approval from an appropriate institutional review board must be obtained and explicitly mentioned in the methodology.

3. Manuscript Submission:

  • Manuscripts must be submitted electronically via the journal portal in MS Word format.
  • All submissions undergo initial screening before being forwarded to peer review.
